Excursion – Cruise Description

Acrocorinth is the largest and best-preserved fortress in mainland Greece. It was built on a 575-meter-high hill next to the ancient city-state of Corinth. In ancient Greek times, the Acropolis housed the Temple of Aphrodite, famous for its cult traditions. From here you will enjoy a breathtaking panorama of the Corinth Canal, the mountains of the Peloponnese and the Aegean Sea.

There will also be a stop at Ancient Corinth, where the famous words about love written by the Apostle Paul are remembered, while overlooking the 2,500-year-old Temple of Apollo.

Crossing the Corinth Canal

At the end of the 19th century, the 6.4 km long Corinth Canal was cut through the narrowest part of the Peloponnese connecting it with mainland Greece. The canal connects the Ionian Sea and the Aegean Sea, effectively turning the Peloponnese into an island. We will sail through this 90-meter-deep canal.
